Poisonous Plants

At Rock Creek Ragdolls, your kitten’s health and safety are our highest priorities. Many common household and garden plants may look harmless, but they can pose serious risks to curious kittens who love to explore with their noses and mouths. Even small amounts of certain plants can cause symptoms ranging from vomiting and drooling to organ failure or worse. Being aware of toxic plants and keeping them out of your home is one of the simplest and most important steps you can take to create a safe environment for your new family member.

We encourage every kitten family to review the list of poisonous plants carefully and remove or secure any potentially harmful greenery before your kitten arrives home. When in doubt, it’s always safest to assume a plant is toxic and place it completely out of reach. Creating a kitten-safe home allows your Ragdoll to explore, play, and grow with confidence — and gives you peace of mind knowing you’ve provided the healthiest start possible for your newest companion.
